What Is Clamshell Packaging?
A clamshell — also known as hinged blister packaging — is a single-piece, thermoformed plastic package that opens via an integrated film hinge. Both halves are thermoformed from a single sheet of film and connected by the hinge. This makes clamshell packaging the economical all-round solution for self-service retail.
