Paper blisters are the future of sustainable product packaging. As a manufacturer of paper blister packaging, Scafa Thermoforming GmbH sets new standards in the environmentally friendly packaging industry with its proprietary ScaPAP technology.

Our paper blisters are produced using the innovative dry fiber process — a process that operates entirely without water while producing up to 8 times faster than conventional wet molding. The significantly lower energy consumption makes ScaPAP the most resource-efficient method for paper fiber molding worldwide.

All our paper blister products — from the paper tray to the paper inlay to the paper clamshell blister — are made exclusively from paper and cellulose fibers. No plastics, no composite materials, no fossil-based coatings. The result is packaging that is 100% recyclable and can be disposed of in paper recycling.

Materials for Sustainable Packaging

Our ScaPAP paper blisters are produced using the dry fiber process — completely without plastic. Depending on requirements, we use recycled paper or virgin fiber in various versions. Dyed virgin fiber is available in several colors. All materials are fully recyclable.

Twin-Sheet — Multi-Layer Paper

For special requirements, we produce paper blisters using the twin-sheet process with multi-layer paper construction following the sandwich principle:

10% Virgin Fiber outer
80% Recycled Paper core
10% Virgin Fiber outer

This combines a premium virgin fiber surface with the cost advantage and sustainability of recycled paper in the core — optimal stability with maximum resource conservation.
