Blood Ampoules Safely Packaged
Blood ampoules — the glass tubes used for blood collection — are fragile, sterility-critical and prone to breakage. Specially thermoformed blister packaging secures the ampoules precisely in defined chambers, prevents contact between individual ampoules and protects the sterile barrier until the point of use.
Medical Packaging Requirements
Packaging for medical products such as blood ampoules is subject to stringent requirements: materials must be chemically inert, free from plasticisers and compliant with applicable regulations. The thermoformed parts are manufactured from FDA- and EU-compliant plastics that do not leach substances into the packaged product. Additionally, sterilisation methods (EtO, gamma radiation) are taken into account during material selection.
