The clamshell packaging — two hinged halves connected by an integrated hinge — is one of the most versatile packaging formats available. Until now, this space has been dominated by plastic solutions made from PET or PVC. The paper clamshell by Scafa Thermoforming offers a completely plastic-free alternative that delivers in both function and appearance.

Using the ScaPAP process, both clamshell halves are formed from paper and connected by a precisely defined fold zone. Snap-fit elements made from the paper itself ensure a secure closure that protects the product during transport and storage. The paper clamshell can be equipped with a hanging hole, stand base, or perforation for easy opening.
