This means comprehensive migration testing, full traceability and proof that no harmful substances transfer into the food. At Scafa Thermoforming, we take this responsibility seriously — every food-grade blister packaging that leaves our facility meets these standards.
For material selection, we rely on proven partners: Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) supplies us with R-PET film featuring the innovative ABA layer technology — a three-layer structure consisting of 10% virgin PET (outer), 80% recyclate (core) and 10% virgin PET (outer). The food-contact outer layers are made from pure virgin material, while the core of recycled PET reduces the CO2 footprint by up to 60%. For crystal-clear applications, we offer A-PET from kp as virgin material.
Our production in Sundern (Sauerland) meets HACCP-compliant manufacturing conditions. This includes hygienic production environments, documented processes and complete batch traceability. Upon request, we provide material certificates and migration test reports — for your quality assurance and audits.
The applications are diverse: chocolate trays with precision cavities, bakery blisters with optimal ventilation, delicatessen trays for premium presentation, fruit and vegetable trays with freshness protection, and cheese and cold cut packaging for counter sales.
