ESD-protected trays for sensitive electronics

ESD damage is invisible but devastating — up to 30% of all field failures in electronics can be traced back to uncontrolled electrostatic discharge. Our ESD trays provide a defined surface resistance of 10³ to 10¹¹ Ω and dissipate charges in a controlled manner before they reach your components.

We process PS-ESD from Fernholz for conductive and dissipative trays, as well as ABS-ESD for heavier assemblies. The surface resistance is measured and documented — standards-compliant to DIN EN 61340. We also use materials from Universal-Polythex upon request.

Applications: PCB assembly, semiconductor manufacturing, sensor transport, LED modules, automotive electronics. Each tray is individually adapted to your component geometry — form-fitting receptacles for secure hold and automated processes.

All materials are RoHS-compliant. Surface resistance measurement protocols are available upon request. Thanks to our in-house toolmaking in Sundern, we achieve rapid iterations — from initial samples to series production. Learn more about our materials: PS / HIPS and ABS.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an ESD tray?
An ESD tray is a plastic tray with a defined surface resistance that controls the dissipation of electrostatic discharge, protecting sensitive electronic components from invisible ESD damage.
What surface resistance do your ESD trays offer?
Conductive (< 10&sup5; Ω) or dissipative (10&sup5;–10¹¹ Ω) — depending on protection requirements. The resistance is measured and documented.
Are ESD trays manufactured under controlled conditions?
Yes. Our ESD trays can be manufactured under low-particle conditions. Contact us for your specific requirements regarding controlled manufacturing conditions.
Can ESD trays be used in SMD pick-and-place lines?
Yes. We manufacture ESD trays with precise pick-up points for automated SMD placement — reproducible and robot-compatible.
What is the minimum order quantity for ESD trays?
From 1,000 units. Prototypes and initial samples are available at short notice thanks to our in-house toolmaking in Sundern.
